বয়স যখন ৮ বছর,মাউন্ট এভারেস্টের ছবি দেখিয়ে তার বাবা
বলেছিলো, এর চুড়ায়
উঠতে পারবে তুমি? ছেলেটা
বুঝে হোক, আর না বুঝে হোক,সেদিন বলেছিলো হ্যা,সে "পারবে"!
স্কুল জীবন
শেষে বৃটিশ আর্মির এয়ার ডিভিশনে যোগ দেয় ছেলেটা। মনের ভেতর হিমালয়ের সর্বোচ্চ শৃঙ্গে
দাঁড়িয়ে বিজয়ীর চিৎকার দেয়ার ইচ্ছে তখনো দমে যায়নি। এর ভেতর একদিন ঘটে গেলো ,দুর্ঘটনা।
জাম্বিয়াতে
ফ্রি ফল প্যারাশুটিং করার সময় মারাত্মক আঘাত পায় সে,শিরদাঁড়ার
তিনটা কশেরুকা ,ভেঙে যায় তার। ডাক্তার জানিয়ে দেয়, এজীবনে আর সে হাঁটতে পারবেনা কোনোদিন।
হুইলচেয়ারে ,কাটিয়ে দিতে হবে বাকিটা জীবন। আর্মির চাকরি চলে যায় তার। সামনে
বাকিটা জীবন পঙ্গুত্বের ,অভিশাপ নিয়ে কাটিয়ে দেয়ার প্রতীক্ষা।
স্রেফ
অদম্য ইচ্ছাশক্তি থেকে ছেলেটা ১ বছরের ভেতর হুইলচেয়ার ছেড়ে উঠে দাঁড়ায়, হাঁটতে
শুরু ,করে সে। এরপর দৌঁড়ানো শুরু করে। ডাক্তারদের সব ভবিষ্যৎবাণী মিথ্যে প্রমাণ
করে দেয় ছেলেটি। ,উঠে দাঁড়ানোর জাস্ট ৬ মাসের মাথায় ছেলেটা মাউন্ট এভারেস্ট জয়
করে ফেলে ২৩ বছর বয়সে।
ছেলেটাকে
আমরা সকলেই চিনি MAN VS WILD অনুষ্ঠানের
সুবাদে তার নাম "বেয়ার_গ্রীলস"।
সে চোখে
আঙুল ধরে দেখিয়ে দিয়েছে! স্রেফ
অদম্য ইচ্ছেশক্তিই যথেষ্ঠ আবারো জীবনে ঘুরে দাঁড়াবার জন্য। সাথে ইস্পাত কঠিন

দাঁড়ানোর ৬ মাসের মাথায় মাউন্ট এভারেস্ট জয় করেছে। আর আপনি স্রেফ বুদ্ধিমানের
মত ,ঠান্ডা মাথায় নিজের সমস্যার সমাধান করে আবারো জীবনে ঘুরে দাঁড়াতে পারবেন না
